The Roles and Responsibilities of Board Trustees

A fiduciary duty to our community

Poor Approval Ratings…

A July 2018 Survey conducted by Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates to evaluate the “State of the District” shows:

  • 53% “The district is heading in the right direction.”
  • 45% “There is transparent communication from the District.”
  • 47% “Teachers personalize instructional strategies …”
  • 51% “The district is fiscally responsible.”
  • 61% “District schools are safe.”

Our currently elected leadership lacks accountability, transparency, and integrity.  The Board majority, backed by special interest groups has made reckless decisions that have compromised the well-being of students and teachers.  Leadership has created a culture of secrecy, stonewalling, and outright misinformation.  This has created fear, distrust, and anxiety in our community.
